Sending a mailing campaign to a targeted group is a good way to find properties quickly. Target groups that have access to properties and can assist you such as lawyers, financial planners, realtors and mortgage brokers. You can purchase these lists from list brokers. However if you have the time, it’s just as easy to do it yourself. When you create the advertisement you want to send, make sure it is professional, clear, and to the point. Mailing postcards is a very cost effective way to advertise your REI business. The cost of postage is minimal and you will get phenomenal results. When you design the postcard, your message needs to be clear and concise because you do not have a lot of space. Use bright eye catching colors and words that will grab the attention of the reader. You should send your postcards to people delinquent on taxes, owners of condemned buildings, and people with more than two properties in your county. You can find these people by searching in your local tax records. For a full list of recommended recipients, contact your local REIA (real estate investors association).

Classified Ads

When placing a classified ad, make sure it is in a local paper; you want to stay in your area. Keep your message short and sweet and right to the point. Classified ads are a great resource; you can create your own ad and decide how long you want it to run for. Select a budget that will allow you to run your ad for at least 3 months – 12 months is even better. Remember that just one deal will pay you back tenfold!

Once it is published, take the opportunity to read the ‘for sale’ and for rent section of the paper. You may find leads there that you can network and give business cards to. When they are ready to sell, they will come to you first.

Magnetic Sign

Magnetic signs are a great way to advertise your real estate investing REI business; they are inexpensive to make and you can really get creative when you’re designing one. When you’re designing a magnet, make sure you use bold colors that will attract attention. Once it is made, all you have to do is attach a magnetic sign to your car and you are instantly advertising your business everywhere you go.

Make as many as you need, and ask your friends, family and even business associates to attach one to their vehicle. If they are resistant to the idea, offer them a small weekly fee. You especially want to ask your friends who work at hardware stores and delis.
